How much do we really know about this everyday task? 

From the oldest woven textiles found in ancient burial sites to the first known accessories like shell beads and bone jewelry, our clothing has always been a statement of individuality, identity, and liberation.

SCENE 1—ANCIENT TIMES
(The runway darkens. A spotlight shines on models stepping out, adorned in ancient Egyptian linen robes, Greek chitons, and Roman togas.

NARRATOR (V.O.)
Once, we draped ourselves in cloth not just for cold or modesty but to signify power, class, and divinity. Pharaohs wore gold-threaded robes; warriors bore the weight of armor. Clothing was status and identity, and there were laws and rules for using colors and certain fabrics and styles.

SCENE 2: Medieval & RENAISSANCE
The music shifts. Models now walk in elaborate medieval gowns, armor, and Renaissance velvets.

Religious influence tightened the threads of society. Fashion dictated virtue, piety, and gender roles. To defy the dress code was to defy the order of existence.

SCENE 3 – THE AGE OF REVOLUTION
The runway shifts. Models in powdered wigs, corsets, and embroidered coats give way to revolutionaries in simple, practical wear.

Then came the age of rebellion—when the guillotine fell and fashion broke its shackles. Simplicity became a statement. The rise of industry birthed mass production, stripping away exclusivity.

SCENE 4 – THE 20TH CENTURY: REBELLION & REINVENTION
Models appear in flapper dresses, sharp suits of the 1940s, rebellious leather jackets of the ‘50s, free-flowing hippie wear of the ‘60s, punk rock spikes, and neon ‘80s glam.

SCENE 5—Hip hop, street wear, sagging 

The runway erupts with diversity—men in jeans, sequins, and glitter suits; women in androgynous styles; sagging jeans; oversized streetwear; and high fashion mixed with urban culture.
